Simple diffusion

Facilitated diffusion

Active transport

Both (1) and (2)

Solution:

Movement of molecules along the concentration gradient (from higher concentration to lower concentration) occurs in both simple diffusion and facilitated diffusion. Simple diffusion does not require carrier proteins, while facilitated diffusion does. Active transport, however, moves molecules against the concentration gradient and requires energy (ATP). Therefore, movement along the concentration gradient occurs in both simple and facilitated diffusion.
