The hormone which stimulates the reabsorption of water from DCT of nephrons and causes constriction of blood vessels is
Solution:
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH), also known as Vasopressin, is secreted by the posterior pituitary gland. Its primary function is to increase the reabsorption of water from the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) and collecting duct of the nephrons, thereby reducing water loss in urine. ADH also causes constriction of blood vessels, which increases blood pressure. Oxytocin is involved in uterine contractions and milk ejection. PRL (Prolactin) stimulates milk production. ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic Hormone) stimulates the adrenal cortex to produce hormones. Therefore, ADH is the correct answer.
